An acting driver is a professional driver who drives your own car. It's ideal when you have a car but don't want to drive: a late-night function, a long highway trip, a hospital visit with elderly parents, or moving a car to another city.
When does an acting driver make sense?
- Weddings and parties where you'd rather not drive back at night
- Long outstation drives: Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi
- Elderly parents who need a reliable driver for appointments
- Delivering a car one way to another city
Types of acting driver bookings
- Local trip: a few hours within Coimbatore for errands, functions or appointments.
- Nearby towns: Mettupalayam, Tiruppur, Pollachi and Avinashi.
- Outstation: a full day of driving for long highway or hill trips.
- One-way drop: the driver delivers your car to another city and returns by bus.
VMB shares the charges for your plan on WhatsApp when you book. Food expenses for long trips and the driver's return bus fare for drops are paid by the customer.
How it works
- Book on the Acting Driver tab with your car type (hatchback, sedan, SUV) and gearbox (manual / automatic).
- You get an order number and confirm on WhatsApp.
- The driver reaches your location at the booked time.
Safety tips
Always book through a known agency rather than a stranger, keep your car's documents (RC, insurance, PUC) in the vehicle, and share the trip details with family. VMB drivers are verified and experienced with all common cars.
